Sarcoidosis Causes, Symptoms and Treatment


Sarcoidosis is that a condition in which swelling (inflammation) occurs in the lymph nodes, eyes, liver, skin, lungs or other tissues. Sarcoidosis is a condition which leads to inflammation of tissues of the body. It can occur in almost any body organ, but it starts most often in the lymph nodes or lungs. This disease has reduced the amount of air in the lungs that causes breathing problem and abnormal stiffness. A sarcoidosis which progresses, microscopic lumps of a specific form of inflammation is called granulomas. Granulomas are most appearing in the lungs and in lymph node any organ can be defected. It is also affected the nervous system including brain.

Causes of Sarcoidosis: The causes of sarcoidosis are not known. it can affect to anyone. Some causes like clumps of abnormal tissue in the organs of the body. It occurs due to environmental factor, bacteria, dust, chemicals; Genetic actor is also the risk of sarcoidosis occurs in families from parent to children. It mostly occurs in young people like 20 to 40 years.

Symptoms of Sarcoidosis: Sometime it is possible that it has no symptoms when symptoms will occur then it involve part of your organ.

Some Lung symptoms are:
• Shortness of breath
• wheezing or dry cough
• Abnormal breath sound

Some skin symptoms are:
• Skin rashes
• Bumps, ulcers
• Hair loss
• Raised, firm skin sores, red on the front part of lower legs

Eyes Symptoms:
• Itching, tearing
• Redness, Headache
• Seeing black spot,
• Reduce color vision and blindness

Some other symptoms are
• Fatigue, fever
• Weight loss
• Joint pain and achiness
• Weakness, night sweat

Precaution from Sarcoidosis:
• Try to eat well balanced diet, fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Drink 8 to 10 glass water.
• Getting full sleep at night
• Avoid smoking, dust and chemicals

Treatment of Sarcoidosis: If you see these symptoms then it is better that take good treatment by your doctor. The doctor will take all your medical history and physical exam include blood test, chest X-ray. Some treatment need with corticosteroids (it control the disease), In this the involvement of eyes, nervous system, heart and lungs. Doctor will also recommend you drug treatment to reduce inflammation. The treatment of this can be for a long time. All these treatment are important to reduce the risk of sarcoidosis
