Anasarca is a medical condition referred to a person who experiences generalized edema. Anasarca is a general swelling throughout the body, considered a massive edema due to effusion of fluid in to the extracellular space. There may be other type edema occurring simultaneously, other organs and cavities also affected by edema. Anasarca is different condition than a slight swelling mostly occurs in the feet.
