What is Acne?

Acne is a common disease related to skin condition that causes zits or pimples. Anyone can get acne but it is most common in young, teenagers and adults. This includes blackheads, whiteheads and red inflamed patches of skin. Pimples occurs when your hair follicles under your skin or plugged with oil and dead skin cells. Mostly pimples appear on your face, back, chest, neck and shoulders.

There are various types of pimples:

Whiteheads: Looks very small and remain under the skin.
Blackheads: They are clearly visible, black and appear on the surface of skin.
Papules: They are usually pink, small bumps and visible on the surface of skin.
Pustules: They are red and have pus at the top and visible on the surface of the skin.
Cysts: They are painful and filled with pus.
Nodules: They are large, painful and solid painful and clearly visible on the skin.

Causes of Acne: Some causes are:
  • Over production of oil can block your follicles and bacteria can move in, particularly the species called propioni bacterium acnes.

  • Acne develops because your sebaceous glands are overactive. These glands produce small amount of sebum.

  • Acne skin also produces more dead skin cells. Some junk food like pizza, chocolate, greasy and fried food has nothing to do with acne but they are often a sign of overactive sebaceous glands.

  • Hormones changes in women can cause acne during the menstrual cycle.

  • High level of humidity and sweating

  • Anxiety and Stress can affect your levels of some hormones

Symptoms of acne: Some symptoms which appear on face and shoulders:
  • Blackheads
  • Crushing of skin bumps
  • Redness around the skin eruptions
  • Dry, pink and itch skin
  • Scarring
  • Nodules
  • Pustules
  • Pimples
  • Cysts
  • Sometime acne leads to depression

Precautions: Some precautions are the best solution for acne:
  • Avoid using oil-based cream, makeup products and ointment
  • Do not squeeze, rub or pick pustules
  • Apply toothpaste over the pimples before going to bed
  • Do not use any facial cream or other product
  • Supplement your diet vegetables and fresh fruits

Treatments of Acne: Acne is disorder of the skin caused by inflammation of the hair follicles and skin glands. Your doctor diagnoses acne by looking at your skin and will recommend a prescription medication you apply to your skin. Doctor now has special and effective treatments like special therapy and laser treatment for acne. Do not expect immediate response from the treatment it will take some time 2 months, 4 months or 8 months. Consult with experienced dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon who can treat the scarring associated with previous outbreaks.

Asterixis Causes Symptoms and Treatment

What is Asterixis? Asterixis is a type of movement disorder characterized by arrhythmic flexion movements of hands evoked by dorsiflexion of the wrists and outstretched arms. It is an involuntary tremor of the wrist loss of sustained contraction of the arms against ones will. It is produced by lapse of sustained posture. Mainly it causing hand tremors and the tremor occurs in both wrists and is not rhythmic characterized by metacarpophalangeal joints, jerky, irregular movements at the wrist and often accompanied by lateral movements of the fingers. Sometime this condition is called liver flap because it indicate brain damage or liver damage. Asterixis might be caused by kidney problems. Causes of Asterixis : The common cause of asterixis is liver failure or it might be caused by the problems of kidney failure. This is called azotemia. Kidneys have trouble in filtering out nitrogen-based compounds. Other causes are DRUGS (ABC) like alcohol, anticonvulsant phenytoin and carbamazepine,
