What is Hematoma? Causes of hematomas : The most common cause of hematomas is trauma or injury. Trauma is just like a serious injury or threat. Anyone can affect by trauma from accident or fall down hematomas is occur when the blood vessel is broken or injured or blood can leaks in to the surrounding tissue. Chronic subdural hematomas are common in the elder people. Epidural hematomas : Epidural hematomas are also referring to head trauma which often caused skull fracture during childhood.
