What is Cataracts? A cataract is an eye disease which causes clouding of the lens of the eye that affects vision. Mostly the cataracts are related to aging people over age of 40 and cause blindness in the world. The lens is inside the eyes focusing the rays of the light. A cataract can occur in both or one eyes. It affect only eyes not life threatening. Cataracts can affect different areas; there are different types of cataract like: Nuclear Sclerotic Cataract : This is most common type of cataracts caused by yellowing and hardening of the lens. It changes the ability of eyes to focus. It is usually associated with aging. Traumatic cataract : This cataract may develop after an eye injury.
