What is Acidosis?

About Acidosis: is a medical condition in which there is excessive acid in the body fluids. If acidity is over it become a dangerous condition which weakens all our body systems, due to over production body makes too many acids or when the kidneys are not removing enough acid from the body. Acidosis is a digestive disorder caused by an accumulation of lactic acid in the rumen and can occur in various lung diseases and renal failure. It is exactly happening when you eat too much food and acid drinks. Acidosis is classifieds in two types like:

Metabolic Acidosis: It is that condition in which there is too much acid and increase in plasma acidity. There are several type of metabolic like Diabetic acidosis, hyperchloremic acidosis and lactic acidosis. Lactic acidosis occur rare but serious metabolic complication.
Respiratory acidosis: Respiratory acidosis is occurring when lungs cannot remove all carbon dioxide in the body.

Causes of Acidosis: Acidosis is caused by an overproduction of acid in the body. Body eliminates or excretes acid through normal kidney and breathing function. There are wide varieties of causes which increase the risk of acidosis like family history, diseases such as cancers, diabetes, kidney failure, obesity, asthma (About asthma), and diarrhea (About diarrhea) without electrolyte replacement and also causes due to modern diet. Also occur due to lung defect and result in too much carbon dioxide in your body.

Differential diagnosis: There are some diseases which have the relationship of acidosis like: cancer (About cancers), obesity (About obesity), and diabetes (About diabetes) may develop due to lack of insulin in the body, hypertension caused by clogged capillary vessels and acid waste, chronic constipation (About constipation) and kidney stone.

Symptoms of Acidosis: The most common symptom is decrease the level of acid, such as rapid breathing. Other symptoms are overweight, Joint Pain & Arthritis (About Arthritis), chronic fatigue, excessive acids, allergies(About allergies), shortness of breathing, rapid breathing. Some serious symptoms are chest pain or pressure, Confusion or loss of consciousness, if it is untreated then it become life threatening problem.

Precaution from Acidosis: For the precaution do not take that which is not prescribed by doctor and Drink potato broth every day.. Take all the guidelines by doctor.

Treatment of Acidosis: Treatment of acidosis is depending on the causes. Treatment for metabolic acidosis is used to decrease the acidity and treatment for respiratory acidosis includes lungs to improve efficiency. Bronchodilators is use to decrease the breathing efficiency, Sodium bicarbonate decrease blood acid levels. Other t6reatment is glucose, fluid electrolytes and thiamine.
