What is Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a common syndrome affects the soft tissue and muscles. Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder that causes profound fatigue, widespread pain, diffuse tenderness and intense pain all over the body. It may worse at some time and also change location pain becomes that part of body that are used most. More than 6 million of people are affected in the united state. Often fibromyalgia is considered as arthritis-related condition which is not truly a form of arthritis because it does not cause damage or inflammation to the muscles, joints or tissue. Mostly 80 or 90 percent of people affected with fibromyalgia are women and middle age people.

Causes of fibromyalgia: Exactly no one knows the causes of fibromyalgia, even doctor and researchers working on the causes and identify the number of changes in the body functions. It is caused by an interpretative defect in the central nervous system brings about abnormal pain perception. Some of cause’s factors include:

Genetic factor: There may be a genetic factor because it may runs in families.

Infections: Some infections tend to fibromyalgia like tendons, stiffness and tenderness of muscles and sleep disorder is common in patients.
Other condition which can lead the causes:
• Metabolic disturbance when thyroid glance do not produce enough thyroid gland.
• Inflammatory disorder is a condition causes stiffness and joint pain.
• Emotional or physical trauma and low level of hormones.

Differential diagnosis: Many people also may have these diseases that are suffer from fibromyalgia:
Anxiety
Depression
• Headaches
• Fatigue

Symptoms of Fibromyalgia: The most prominent symptom is pain, involving both sides of the body and usually affects the arms, shoulders, buttocks, necks and chest. This pain is applied to specific are is called tender points. Location includes:
• Top of shoulders
• Back of the head
• Upper chest or hips
• Outer elbows
• Inner knees

Some physical symptoms are:
• Irregular heartbeat
• Sleeping disturbance
• Muscle pain, weakness and cramping
• Digestive problems such as constipation or diarrhea, gas and bloating
• Tension or migraine
Abdominal pain
• Fatigue you may feel in your legs or arms.

Some emotional symptoms are:
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Difficulty in thinking
• Difficulty with memory

Sometime these symptoms create serious problem and danger to others include suicidal behavior or irrational.

Precautions of Fibromyalgia: By developing life style you reduce the risk like structured sleep habits, daily exercise program. Improve diet avoid fat food; eat plenty of vegetables, fruit, grains or beans. Eat more fish in your diet.

Treatment of Fibromyalgia: If you are suffering from pain then immediately seek medical care by doctor. The treatment of fibromyalgia is purely made on clinical grounds based on the physical examination or doctor's history. Doctor will prescribe you some medication can help to reduce the pain like analgesics, antidepressants help to promote sleep, anti-seizure drugs help to treat epilepsy and reducing types of pain. Some therapy is used for dealing stressful situation.
