What is Trauma?

Trauma is a disorder psychic or behavioral state resulting from physical injury, mental or emotional stress. A traumatic event for one person is a challenge to another person. The trauma effects of major events as kidnapping, rape, war, abuse, accident, life-threatening illness or natural disaster. There are two types of trauma:

Mental Trauma: Medical Stress includes painful feelings or frightening thoughts and response to serious injury. Emotional Symptoms include anger, irritability, confusion, fear or anxiety, feeling sad and hopeless.

Physical Trauma: Physical Trauma cause physical pain or injury. Physical symptoms include insomnia, pain, aches, and fatigue or muscle tension.

Some time traumatic injuries cause of death. But the right treatment helps and support families to recover from this disease. Physical and emotional trauma can cause stressful event. Trauma can be affected to anyone whether it is children, women, men or someone has almost died or may suffer for a panic attack (About panic attack).

Causes of Trauma: Trauma can be caused by many kinds of event it will be lead to psychological and emotional trauma. It happen repeatedly, unexpectedly, happens in childhood. Both physiological and emotional trauma can be caused by an event such as natural disaster, horrible accident, domestic violence, Humiliation, physical or sexual abuse, Maternal stress, diet, smoking or a violent attack. People have stressful experience has suffered a series of losses. Childhood trauma can have a long lasting effect. Childhood trauma can result from anything like serious illness, separation from a parent, unsafe environment. It is difficult to manage or cure; if it is not resolved this carries over into adulthood.

Symptoms of Trauma: The symptoms of trauma persist for weeks or several months. Understanding of sign and symptoms is depending on the sensitive information. These sign and symptoms include common difficulties like:

• Difficulty managing your emotions
• Difficulty in feeling well
• Unsafe Environment
• Serious illness
• Irritability, anger
• Hopeless or feeling sad
• Fear, Depression (About Depression), and Anxiety (About Anxiety)
• Muscles tension
• Aches and Pains
• Insomnia (About Insomnia)
• Rapidly heartbeat
• Avoiding more things
• Stress reaction in the body


Trauma Symptoms in Children:
• Difficulty in eating
• Aggressive behavior
• Avoidance of places and people
• Sexualized behavior
• Depression and Sadness
• Disturbance in Sleeping
• Difficulties in learning and problems concentrating in school
• Unwanted memories of the event
• Increased medical problem


Precautions:
• Take your full sleep
• Eat well balanced diet throughout the day
• Reduce stress and take full rest
• Avoid drugs and alcohol
• Exercise regularly


Treatment of Trauma: Treatment of trauma is based on your case history. Treatment will help you reestablish and imbalance your physical sense of safety. There are some therapies used in treatment of trauma like:

Cognitive-behavioral therapy help in evaluate and process your feelings and thought include yoga, art and rope. Create awareness of emotional shock throughout the therapies.

Somatic experiencing focus on bodily sensations concentrating what happenings in your body, take your natural survival, safely releasing energy with the form of physical release.

Adventure Therapy: In this therapy using your body in the exercise excellent avenue to connection with community.
Doctor would advice you participating in social activities, join a support group, stick to daily routine, and acknowledge your feelings about the trauma. All these therapies are helpful to treat the trauma.
