Eating disorder is characterized by abnormal or extreme disturbance in eating behavior which involve excessive or insufficient food take. Eating disorders is a dangerous problem such as mental illness, severe overeating, emotional disorder and family pressure. About 5-10 million females and 1 million males are affected by eating disorder in united state. It is a most common problem. There are varieties of disorder like:

Bulimia Nervosa:  Bulimia nervosa is most common problem in young women. In this people consume large amount of food in short time, sometimes cannot stop themselves from eating more. Eat large amounts of food is called binging.

Anorexia Nervosa: It means absence of appetite involves an aversion to food which leads to emaciation, excessive weight loss and starvation. Anorexia is serious disorder can damage your health. Women with anorexia nervosa miss at least three consecutive menstrual periods.

Binge Eating: In this disorder you eat excessive amounts of food in a short period of time, eating more rapidly than normal. Generally this disorder leads to obesity.

Causes of Eating Disorder:  There may be many causes of eating disorder the exact cause of disorder is unknowns. Some possible causes of disorder are:

Biology: Many researchers believe that eating disorder can cause by genetic factor. Women with mother or sister who has Anorexia Nervosa they are four times more likely to develop Bulimia.

Psychological and emotional factor: People with eating disorder have emotional and psychological problems. Child abuse, sexual abuse as well as neglecting these factors are creating the risk of disordered eating.

Social factors: Environmental factor is one of the causes of eating disorder. Peer pressure and people see in media.

Symptoms of Eating Disorder: Some common causes are:

Constipation
Dehydration
Depression
Dramatic Weight loss
Exercising excessively
Menstruation problem
Dizziness and headaches
Continuous dieting
Rapid hair loss
Continuously thinking about food
Anxiety
Fatigue
Abdominal pain

What is Asterixis? Asterixis is a type of movement disorder characterized by arrhythmic flexion movements of hands evoked by dorsiflexion of the wrists and outstretched arms. It is an involuntary tremor of the wrist loss of sustained contraction of the arms against ones will. It is produced by lapse of sustained posture.
