Epilepsy Seizure Types, Causes, Symptoms and Treatment.

Epilepsy is a type of brain disorder. It is a common chronic neurological disorder diagnosed by seizures. Epilepsy can be controlled but not cure. It is most common in young children and people over the age of 65. Seizures associated with epilepsy it disturbed the brain system and causes problem in the nervous system and brain it is scaring problem person may lose consciousness, has no control and involuntary motions.

There are different types of seizures:

Partial Seizures: Focal or discrete area of the brain. Subparts of partial Seizures:

Simple Partial Seizures: This seizure is different from person to person and it depends on the part of brain which is affected.
Complex Partial Seizures: It causes impairment of consciousness; person has funny face, distress and surprise. It is usually for 30 seconds and 2 minutes.

Generalized seizures: It is the larger area of the brain. Subparts of generalized seizures:

Absence Seizures: It is most common problem in children. It just for few seconds, children may blank appear, day dreaming.

Tonic-Clonic Seizures: In this the person has loss his balance and fall. It affected the legs, arms or body.

Myoclonic Seizures: It is jerking movement arises from the central nervous system.
Atonic Seizures: It is dangerous in this the person has loss of muscles control. It is for less than 15 seconds.

Causes of Epilepsy Seizures:

When there are many abnormalities in the nervous system of brain then it result in seizure activity. Genetic factor increase the risk of genetic factor, sleep deprivation (person not having enough sleep), imbalance nerve signaling chemical. Some factors are head injury, stroke (blood flow of the brain), metabolic disturbance. Any one can have seizure at any age.

Symptoms of Epilepsy Seizures: The symptoms and signs of epilepsy is depend on the type of seizure. Some symptoms are weakness (occur in arm, leg), anxiety, staring or day dreaming, blinking or repetitive movements, loss of consciousness (for a few seconds), muscles contradiction in the body.

Precaution from Epilepsy Seizures:

We can not control this disease but we can cure. Avoiding head traumas, excellent health habits, wear helmet when you are driving, discourage your child climbing higher, don’t give stress to your children, live normal life as possible. Seizer doest not stop in five minutes you can take full rest.

Treatment of Epilepsy Seizure:

Awareness is very important for the treatment. It will be done successfully with team of persons like doctors, family members, person with seizures and specialist. When you are suffering from seizures then you should consult neurologist who specializes in epilepsy. These specialists provide medical care for epilepsy. These doctors are called Epileptologists.
