Stroke is called a brain attack or cerebral infarction, Stroke is a very serious condition in the brain. It occurs when interruption of the blood supply to part of the brain, brain can not obtain the blood or oxygen so it causes brain cells to die. There are two types of stroke:

Ischemic Stroke: About 80% of stroke is occurs when a thrombus or blood clot that blocks blood flow to part of the brain. Brain tissues are dead by lack of blood. Ischemic stroke include "thrombotic" or "embolic." When a blood clot forms is in one part of body then it is called embolic. Thrombotic caused b blood clot that forms an artery directly leading to the brain.

Hemorrhagic Stroke: Hemorrhagic stroke is occurs when a blood vessels ruptures and bleeds around the brain inner and outer layer of the tissues result is lack of blood flow in brain symptoms are headache or head injury. There are two types of hemorrhagic stroke that are intracerebral hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Causes of Stroke: Stroke can affect any age children or adult, Stroke is occur when blood vessel becomes weak and blood leaks in the brain. Most common causes are when there is blockage of an artery in the brain. Other risk includes high blood pressure, High cholesterol, with the heavy use of alcohol, diabetes and smoking, some genetic factor it is mostly affected to men rather than women, it is common in those people who have over the age of 55 and also causes with the irregular of heart beat.



Symptoms of Stroke: Symptoms of stroke are usually comes in a minute or in an hour depend on the affected brain tissue. Most common symptom is pain or headache, Others are:
• weakness of the face, leg or your arm
• Confusion or trouble in speaking, you are unable to find words.
• Paralysis problem in one side of your body.
• Facing problem with seeing from one or both eyes.
• Trouble in walking, loss of balance, loss of memory.

Precaution from stroke: Blood pressure and diabetes are high risk factors the try to control your blood pressure and diabetes take all prescribed medicine which has recommend by doctor. Avoid smoking and alcohol drinking; control your Cholesterol high cholesterol may develop plague. If we take that precaution then 80% of stroke can be prevent.

Treatment of Stroke: If you notice these signs or symptoms of stroke the immediately consult your doctor. Doctor may use surgical treatment to remove the blockage in brain vessels. Before starting treatment the doctor will take some magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computed tomography (CT) scan of your brain to diagnose that which type of stroke you have.

What is Asterixis? Asterixis is a type of movement disorder characterized by arrhythmic flexion movements of hands evoked by dorsiflexion of the wrists and outstretched arms.
